I wonder why wrestling fans get so possesive over wrestling stars when they venture into the mainstream media arena? Is it because any attack on them, is an attack on wrestlings fans themselves, which basically is an attack on their own self? Personally for some odd reason I treat the wrestling stars as a some sort of family member and don't like it when they get badmouthed. It may be because the "thing" that is wrestling, (unexplainable, not a tv show or play its all) is so interactive. It comes to me almost daily on TV (my hypno-box), it hits me on the net (HB2), and live events are like home-comings. Since wrestling broke kayfabe (acting like there is nothing predetermined) years ago, the superstars behind the characters have come to the forefront. Most fans know the real name and hometowns of the stars, and a masked man is not as mysterious as years gone by, since with one click, you can find the face you search for. So when one of "my" family is even briefly mentioned in the mainstream news, my ears are like a rabbit, they perk up and I wait for the stereotypical, cheesy, quick laugh from the rest of my ignorant studio peers, smart remark. I actually anticipate it. Come to think of it I think the same way when any rapper is mentioned in mainstream news too. By the way, Will Smith is not a rapper.

Anyways, the thought of the media saying something nice, doesn't even occur to me. Maybe its from all the years of people shockingly informing me that "Wrestlings not real you know?", Cha really, wow. I guess I'm never watching TV again, or going to the movies either. I'm jaded I guess. While I read, listen or view the coverage I am scanning for negative connotation and basic anti-wrestling garbage and I skip over all the good press. If there is nothing bad, I can breathe again. No riling me up. Even if the piece was a fantastic, super pro-wrestling feature, it won't make me smile, I'm content with knowing that we "survived" that one.

I say all this because wrestlings newest favorite son, The Rock is out promoting the Scorpion King this week. There was a brief mention on Howard Stern this morning, and once they said Scorpion King, I was ready. They didn't say anything bad, breathe again, unclench fists. But yesterday I saw Talk Soup (no Aisha Tyler, BOO DEM) and some typical gossip/comedy writer american ignoramus was talking about Rock and his co-star Michal Duncan (giant guy from Green Mile) and said something "now theres a brain trust". Why do you think they are dumb? A big black guy and ........ a wrestler. First the stereotype of Michael is so damn racist, I can't even think about that. Then the stereotype of Rock because he a wrestler is ridiculous. That dude is one smart mofo. He carries himself like some suave, charming, debonaire aristocrat not the 'image in your head dumb jock bar room brawler in underwear guy'. He's more cooler in public than JFK or JFK jr. ever were.

By the way, mainstream cheese "reporters" (aka somebody notice me, I'm making a smart remark, look at me I'm witty, LOOK AT ME), wrestling is not all about breaking folding chairs over peoples heads. What am I gwaanin about? Basically my otha brotha from anotha motha .. and yes, main nemesis, CrazyKelvin, has some weird ass controversy on his site. Basically people think he doesn't have the right to state his own opinions on his site, much less the section devoted to HIS weekly thought. He has a message board system, that is suppose to be used for comments on his poll (which usually revolves around a part of his thought). The people there, more particularly, some coward with no email named dayvn, has abused it to to the point it has become his site. He seems to use it as his own high-road self affirmation praise shrine. Dude compared himself to Martin Luthor King Jr, Ghandi and .... God. C'mon now. He also doesn't listen to Bull at all. These people don't even read CK's thought, they either scan for their own name, and/or go straight to comments section of the poll. So since I have a comment system on my posts, I wonder if people are gonna tell me I don't have the right to say what I want to say. That's ok, they can say what they want. It's their right, or I wouldn't have a comment system. Ok enough of that garbage, needed to get it off my chest.

Hey yo, yesterday I was arguing with my dad about getting an IT job just to get in the door of some company to eventually do design work. How can that happen? I don't mind doing entry level work for something I have skills in, but why would I do entry level work of something I don't? He says I should go to school for it. What? But I don't have the money, and if I did, why don't I go to school for something I want to do? The only thing I ever want to do in my life is be creative. I need a job desperately, but my career must be creative, or I'm on a suicide ride.

In other happy news, the Raptors' remarkable run continued yesterday in a rousing performance that had the fans on their feet. When it was over, when the Raptors had outpaced the Indiana Pacers by a 94-84 count, Toronto was left standing as the eighth playoff seed in the East.

Oh hey I finally found the feed that carries the Howard Stern show in T.O. It's not a Toronto station, it's 92.9, a Buffalo station that also houses the afternoon shock jocks Opie & Anthony. I have never heard them, but heard about them, so I'll listen today. As I listen to Stern, I remember how loserish Stuttering John is. And in 1.32 seconds Robin got on my nerves (It took 1.32 seconds until Robin opened her mouth from whence I found the show). The only reason I looked for the show is cuz for some odd reason I can't Flow 93.5 anymore.

Look I don't care if eating disorder is a serious problem, this is not her problem. Lies. How all of a sudden she realizes she has a problem, knows all the facts (and I mean statistics and studies) and does shows about it (starring herself) and never really shows agony, pain or is neurotic when the show cameras are not on? C'mon. The straight-laced super classy reporter Jennifer had an eating problem last year. If you are trying to replace her, then why choose the same used-sympathy towel she had? I'm not making light of the disorder, she is. Another reason why I think she is starved and making it up is this: The other 2 white girls, one is crazy hot but screwed up (that's her "it" problem), the other is crazy cute, was raped and wears her emotion on her sleave (aka cries, yells and laughs alot). Tonya the token? Ahh she's cool, but she's a mother hen who has no story or drama of her own so she gets into peoples business. She is not as bright as Caroline, so she doesn't realize she needs an issue or she will be booted next.
