Position Summary:

Under direction of the Coordinator, Education & Research Technology Services, and as a member of the Academic Computing team, the Website Designer provides services, which generate revenue for the Education Commons, to a variety of internal OISE/UT clients who wish to use the Web for academic and administrative purposes. Specifically, the Designer will identify and solicit potential paying internal clients and provide services in the development of web pages, web sites, and web interface applications in CGI, JSP, ASP and other related applications, as appropriate. In addition to analyzing needs, assessing possibilities, developing, and implementing internal Education Commons website solutions, including multimedia materials, of moderate to high complexity for meeting administrative and academic needs; the Website Designer may be assigned responsibilities found within the Core Technology Services, Server and Network Services, Multimedia or Administrative functions of the Education Commons. This is a six-month term staff-appointed position. There is the possibility of renewal if the experience of the initial term suggests adequate self-funding revenue can be generated.
